Health Spot Certified Bio Meridian Technician. Nine years front office, manager, billing, credentialing and contracting for the mental health field. Also a Reiki Master.
Wife and mother to 3 daughters who are my world. I love traveling, going to movies, providing energy work sessions, reading, cooking, self-improvement and anything mental health related.
After working the administration side of Mental Health practices, I found it wasn’t very fulfilling. I have wanted to find a way to blend physical and mental health. Functional Medicine provides a way to help combine both worlds. I really like working at The Healthy Living in Layton because they listen to patients and help them to feel better. As a patient who has left medical offices with no hope, The Healthy Living provides hope to its patients and they leave feeling better about life. It’s fun to watch the improvements each time they come in.
I graduated from the American Institute of Medical and Dental Technology. I have 18 + years experience as a Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Surgery Scheduler and a Cystometrogram Technician specializing in urology and gynecology.
I have 4 daughters that I love spending time going to the movies with, shopping and doing all the girly things little girls like to do. I have a passion for fishing and go whenever I possibly can. I also have a dog named Clover who things she is the queen of the castle.
I have a heart for helping people and love working in the medical field. I have a big interest in Functional Medicine because, over the years, I have seen patients just given a pill to help with the symptom, but that is basically just a band-aid. Here at The Healthy Living we figure out what the root cause of the symptom is and start the healing process.

Kelly Pierce has been a resident of Davis/Weber county since 1994. She served in the US Air Force with a specialty in disaster preparedness and major accident response. She volunteered with the Tsunami and Earthquake clean up in Japan. She earned her Bachelor of Science, Nursing at Westminster College in 2006. Kelly has 13 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, women’s health, trauma nursing and case management. She completed her Master of Science, Nursing Education at Weber State University in 2011. Her masters project involved research on how community support groups could support adolescent moms in reaching personal career goals to be successful contributors in society. She applied this knowledge as a volunteer counselor at a pregnancy care center in Weber County for 2 years and taught nursing students at SLCC and Eagle Gate College. Kelly is passionate about The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s Health People objectives and preventative healthcare motivating her to return to school and earn her Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019 with Chamberlain University. Her goal is to provide patients with her experiences and knowledge to empower them to make the best decisions for their own health. She believes we learn from each other and knowledge is wasted if it is not shared and plans to volunteer as a medical provider in the community for those who cannot afford healthcare. Her interests as a primary care provider include meeting health care needs for men, women and children who want to overcome or prevent chronic health conditions. Kelly believes a patient’s awareness of disease processes can transform into self-actualization of health through education and management of their own health and looks forward to working together as a team.
Owner, Bio Technician
As the owner of our clinic people ask me if I am a doctor. I am not a doctor. My background is in business. I have been trained as a technician using the Bio Meridian machine. I also have experience in coaching people with our weight loss and health training program. For 17years I owned a sales company called Eclipse Marketing. I spent 5 years with Winder Farms and then 1 year with PRIME, a health and nutrition education company.
I try to be active in serving the community. For two years I as the president of the Utah Chapter of the Young Entrepreneur’s Organization. I served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Utah Chapter of Make a Wish Foundation. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Utah Community Credit Union.
My interest turned to health and Functional Medicine when I got a CIMT scan that measures inflammation in your carotid artery. I took the results to a doctor and he said I was 6 months away from a stroke of one kind or another. I am an active person, I compete in triathlons, I have completed 8 half-ironmans and multiple Olympic and sprint distance triathlons. I was going to be one of those stories of a guy running a marathon and dropping dead of a heart attack. I had extensive blood work and gene testing done and it came back that I have a defect in my MTHFR gene. It was causing the inflammation. As soon as I was on the proper methylated vitamin B’s my risk was dramatically reduced. I am grateful for Functional Medicine that tests for and knows how to treat these kids of conditions.
I am passionate about what we do here at The Healthy Living Layton. We are saving lives and giving hope and answers to people’s health problems. I see it every single day. I love being a part of this.
